Bo.lan, is a local Thai restaurant that commits to using only superior ingredients; seasonal, local produce and rare herbs. Like any other restaurant, there’s an a la carte menu, but we’d recommend you opt for the option of the Bo.lan Balance set. Why?

You’ll start off your meal with “yaa dong” (traditional Thai spirit) to keep you excited for the whole culinary journey and sharing the smaller portions of different dishes in the set is a fun way to start your dining experience.

A highlight dish that is one of my favourites is a Salad of grilled Ayuttha river prawn with lotus shoot and crispy shallot. You might have seen Thai people using a lot of lotus flowers as decoration, but do you know that we also can eat almost every part of the lotus – from seeds, shoots to roots!

Enclosed behind Victorian-style carved wooden doors, Café de Norasingha reflects a neo-classical structure of western and Thai architectural style. The room is stunningly decorated with French windows, high ceiling, elegant chandeliers and Art Deco furniture.

Massage and spa treatments are everywhere in Bangkok. On the grounds of Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha) on Sanam Chai road next to the Grand Palace, try a massage at Bangkok’s oldest massage school—a great place to connect to the roots of this ancient discipline that aims to refresh the spirit as it loosens the muscles from a day of site seeing.

Even better, try your hand at the Thai traditional massage training course at the Temple’s Traditional Medical and Massage School.

Soothe your day in the “green oasis of the city” at Lumphini Park, only a five-minute walk from Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok.

Lumpini Park was created in the 1920s by King Rama VI on royal property. A statue of the king stands at the southwestern entrance to the park. It was named after Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha in Nepal, and at the time of its creation stood on the outskirts of the city. Today it lies in the heart of the main business district and is in the Lumphini sub-district, on the north side of Rama IV Road, between Ratchadamri Road and Witthayu Road.

Once you and your family have visited the many sites of Bangkok, it may be time for some family fun or alone time and experience the city in a different way. The park provides recreational activities within the serene beauty of big trees and perfect views of Bangkok. Visit Lumphini Park and you might also discover animals not seen at home!

So when you visit Bangkok, be sure your family takes advantage of all the activities – including this hidden treasure.

Area: 57.60 hectares

An experience visitors can’t leave Bangkok without trying is jumping aboard a Tuk-Tuk.

Unlike metered taxis in Bangkok, Tuk-Tuk drivers will negotiate their prices, so make sure you ask for a discount before climbing aboard.

The good part of riding in the Tuk-Tuk is that it allows you to get on and off wherever you want easily, and it’s a lot of fun. And who knows, you might get some insightful information from the Tuk-Tuk driver too! Let’s roll..
